To infinity and beyond

Benjamin Kanarek's 'Fly me to the moon' editorial is featured in August's China edition of Harpers Bazaar magazine.
I love this shoot for two reason, the futuristic, artistic revelation I can see and the fact that he has chosen an Asian model which constantly challenges western standards. I love the fact that Kanarek has chosen not to go down the 'sex sells' route, its utterly refreshing and it seems like there is fast becoming a division in fashion marketing. Theres the creative minds who play it safe with the whole eroticism & soft porn as it always sells big and we - the viewing customer seem to like to see sex in a sense where its done in an almost PG sense as that way it's allowed and we won't look like a set of amateur nympho's, and then there's the creatives who don't like to play it safe and will step outside the box into a new world, Benjamin being one. Not afraid to try something other than sex and one who actually has something to say through their work. Its fearless and me personally, i'm down with the creatives who actually want to get their point across via their work.
Benjamin, i salut you!
